About A LA CARTE
As one of Germany's leading gastronomy magazines, A LA CARTE presents a large number of featured hotels and restaurants from the North Sea island of Sylt to Lake Tegernsee in Bavaria. The editorial emphasis of the magazine is on providing an objective and unbiased view of the establishments and what they have to offer, that is, sampling the food and drink and taking in the atmosphere. Neither do we attempt to test the restaurants nor do we see ourselves as restaurant critics. Our aim instead is to publish tips about all that the local region has to offer in terms of going out. This means, then, that we cover beer gardens, cocktail bars, 3-star restaurants, family-run country hotels and 5-star establishments.
We also put a great deal of effort into creating foreign specials about Majorca, Kitzbühel, South Tyrol, Paris and Moscow, as well as recipe tips, wines and winegrowing estates to complement the overall concept.
